Youth Without Borders focuses on empowering young people to work together to positively change their communities and beyond.

We are a youth led, youth run organisation who believe in the power of diversity and the magic of project based collaboration.

We provide support for young people to make their own ideas a reality and believe that through the power of partnership, the needs of young people can be met.

Our Values

  • We ensure the provision of safe environment in which young people can excel. We commit to always doing the right thing, not just the easiest thing. We will adhere to our statement of commitment at all times. That means we respond to wrong doing efficiently and comprehensively and own any mistakes made and commit to being better in future.

  • We ensure that our leaders provide effective guidance and support to young people in our care. We aim to go above and beyond what is expected of us to be leaders in the space our organisation operates within. We constantly look to new ways to inspire and develop new and existing leaders within our organisation.

  • Human rights are manifested differently in everyday lives at every level of society. We strive to find new and innovative ways to create a more equitable society within the environment of our programs.

  • Respect is affordable to all stakeholders by reinforcing the value of respect in our training methods. We want all stakeholders to feel welcome in Youth Without Borders.

  • We ensure we are cognisant of the diversity of our organisation. We know that diversity will require continued effort to maintain. We appreciate our differences and are most effective when we maintain a high level of diversity. We are committed to meeting the varied needs of our volunteers and program participants (as much as possible) to ensure that no one faces insurmountable barriers to participation with Youth Without Borders.

Statement of Commitment

Youth Without Borders (YWB) has developed a statement of commitment to the safety and well being of children and the protection of them from harm.

YWB supports the rights of young people and is committed to ensuring the safety, welfare and well being of the young people involved with the organisation. YWB is committed to responding to allegations of student harm resulting from the conduct or actions of any person including that of volunteers at any level in the organisation.

This commitment includes the provision of a safe and supportive environment by upholding the standards of best practice for all young people involved in ad impacted by our programs, and requires all employees, volunteers, contractors and visitors to model and encourage behavior that upholds the dignity and protections of students from harm.

YWB provides opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills while delivering meaningful change in their communities.

In support of this commitment, Youth Without Borders is dedicated to its Youth Risk Management Strategy, which includes having relevant policies, procedures and training in place to effectively address the safety and well being of students in our care during their involvement with us.
